He was born in Castellammare di Stabia in 1967. After his studies at the Theatre School of the Teatro Stabile in Torino, directed by Franco Passatore, and the La Bottega Teatrale in Florence, directed by Vittorio Gassman. He began his professional life as an actor (1986-2000).
In 1998, he directed his first theatrical performance. In 2004 he moved to Berlin.
