With Gagarin way Gregory Burke outlines a snapshot of low life, a desperate and intelligently ironic life in its extreme and lucid madness. A text pretending to take sides, but that in fact depicts with precision the flow of events, without giving the audience any possibility to choose a hero or a winner to identify with. A severe work leaving no hope: what remains eventually is only a distressing and terrible emptiness, where man and his nothing wander. Characters are carefully sketched, and their present life is a map oozing a sense of waiting, where time flows through a constant  firing of words which become more and more incisive, dangerous, leaving us in a devastating apnoea just before the great and definitive explosion.
